Vanessa is a member of a charity called " Actions, Hope and Development", that helps immigrants coming to Canada and people in other countries.
She is a York University Student who is majoring in Finance and who will later on like to study acting as a second career.
She values that being a Miss Latina Contestant will give her the opportunity to help people with scarce resources and contribute to their education.
Helping others is one of her passions because she believes that every little help counts towards enhancing a person's potential. She is very proud to represent Peru, since it has one of the seven wonders of the world,- " Macchu Picchu" , a world known liquor " Pisco Sour" and different kind of traditional food, like " Ceviche, papa a la huancaina, etc", among other terrific things Peru has to offer. 
She is recently writing a drama novel and hopes that for sure will become the best seller starting in Canada and then around the world."
