Sarah was looking to connect with her Latin
American Roots and was the winner of the Miss Latina
Halton Region event.
Not only is her family from Mexico proud of what she's become a part of,
but her Canadian relatives are enthusiastic as well.
Sarah's mother came here alone from Mexico nearly thirty
years ago .Her father came from a small town in
Newfoundland. She has one brother and one sister.
She plans to one day become a lawyer defending the rights of people in
need. She is preparing to graduate from a
paralegal college program and also has a diploma in
Police Foundations
She has been a long time volunteer with a local youth group which teaches
youth leadership and confidence.
The Miss Latina Canada pageant helps Sarah in gaining
self-confidence, improving entrepreneurial skills and
feeling closer to her roots. .
