YAJAIRA'S BIOGRAPHY:

Yajaira Mercedes stands 5'8" tall and is from la belle province, Quebec, living in Montreal.  Yajaira is from San Victor, Dominican Republic and came to Canada in 1992. Now a Canadian citizen, Yajaira is fluent in English, French and Spanish.  Yajaira's crowing is now part of Miss Latina Canada: The Reality Series, Season 2.

Yajaira is a cosmetologist for the popular Canadian brand of make-up Lise Watier, and believes that taking care of one's skin is a very essential need as part of one's health care and grooming.  A pageant veteran, Yajaira has competed in many other pageants before she hit the national stages of Miss Latina Canada 2010.

Yajaira is the very first winner of this national event from Quebec, and also the first winner that representing the Dominican Republic to win this title.  News of her win made front page headlines in the Dominican, including major festivities in San Victor.
